A beautifuland very friendly cat came to my apartment at Haight and Broderick this weekend but she could have come much further away. She was malnurished, due to the fact that she may have been lost for a very long time. Since she was in such bad health, we took her to San Francisco Animal Care and Control, were our last follow up they said that she is on anti-botics, and getting rehydrated.

It is clear to me from the way that she was behaving that she comes from a very loving home, so if you or somebody you know has lost an elderly female cat recently should call animal control.

I am avoiding specific descriptions in hopes that only the owner and friends can identify her.

If this cat is yours, please call promply. If nobody claims her, and her health is good, she may be put up for adoption.

Wow, thanks Ted for taking in this sick kitty. Do you know if the Animal Control check to see if she was microchipped? I hope kitty and owner are reunited soon!

I won't know much until tommorow. My boyfriend has been doing the phone calls, but I have a feeling that there are no chips, and I do know that nobody, as of now, has made any claims. I am also concerned that who ever owned that cat may have given up because she most likely has been lost for a considerable amount of time.

I literally just learned just now that she has major kidney problems and may not be able to make. Unfortunetly I have grown attached to her even though I have only seen her for less than a half hour :-(

          I feel your pain.

I have found three old cats since living in SF ('87), or they found me. The first two died right away and the third died (RIP 2004) after I took her to Pets Unlimited. I had her in a blanket and was talking to the PU vet and started crying so hard I almost threw up. They took her to the back and I never saw her again. PU called me the next day to let me know they put her to sleep. I wish I could of said goodbye to her.

          Poor kitties. RIP.
